Is it possible these films were successful because the film makers were in it to make films and not money? Why are todays horror movies from major Hollywood studios lousy? I do not know the exact answer, and there are probably different reasons for it. I recommend watching low budget horror movies made by no name small production companies that recruit actors that are not known in Hollywood. Thats where I look for good horror films.
